Due to the cost of venue hire increasing and the added cost of taking on a professional Bboy to teach. Dance will now be £4 per class or £6.50 for both should you do street & cheer.
Also Elite will now be £3.50 per class.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but just a reminder this is the first ever increase in charge since the squad started in 2005.
Many Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

*** URGENT BCA DATE/LOCATION CHANGE ***
Dear Parents & students
We have decided to postpone our BCA entry to the February comps.
There are a number of reasons for this:-
1. Cost before christmas (some parents/students have confided that they will find it a struggle to commit to payments for costumes, entries & travel so close to christmas)
2. Readiness. We have a lot of moving round in classes since starting back in September and some students have shown slight difficulties adjusting and picking up the routines.
3. Specialist Choreographer availability. We have employed a specialist choreographer to work with the students for the Hip Hop entries and he is needing time to ensure the students can hit the tricks and stunts. He also has another job so it is making sure between his availability and the students pick up speed, we need to allow time.
4. Lorraine. As you all know I am on maternity leave however Loretta and Alice are doing a fantastic job in covering, many of you will know I am a pleasant "control freak!" who likes to put her stamp on the routines and have a say in what is being entered.
5. Blackpool being tough. As a cumiliation of all of the above, we know historically Blackpool is sometimes a harder competition then others we have participated in. There fore the time old saying comes in to place.
FAIL TO PREPARE; PREPARE TO FAIL.
We want to hit the competitions hard, being the best at our game. We are learning new skills and tricks to meet the requirements for the BCA sections/standards. We don't want to go unsure or "just about" getting the routines. We want to be strong.
Following a meeting last Monday day, Loretta began to mention to students on the Monday and Tuesday that the competitions may change. Final decision was made this Friday (14th October) so here is the official update.
The new competition dates will be the last weekend in February 25th/26th. The weekend we start back at school after half term. We will take a coach/es up to Newport (outskirts of Wales) on the saturday morning, spectate at the comps on the Saturday afternoon, stay at a Premier Inn and return on the Sunday after the awards (unless people wish to make their own way there)
The Premier Inn in Newport is £39 for the night, for 4 people (2 adults/2 children) We can book in November & it will not need to be paid until arrival.
New Cheer Uniforms will need to be ordered before Christmas to ensure that they are here in time for the Comps.
I have lost my mobile which had everyones up to date emails & numbers in. Although I have registrations forms for students, some are dated. So I ask, please can parents & students send an email to thefunkyphantomettes@googlemail.com with an up to date/accessible email address & emergency contact.
If you have any queries please pop in & see the teachers, I am hoping to start popping in to classes from next week.
Many Thanks for your continued support.
